Evercare Hospital Dhaka's free medical camp in Narsingdi

Narsingdi, February 7, 2025 – Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the first JCI-accredited hospital in the country, has organized a free medical camp in Narsingdi to provide complimentary pediatric cardiology treatment. This initiative is part of the hospital’s commitment to ensuring world-class healthcare for the people of Bangladesh.

Today (Friday, February 7), the free medical camp was held from 8 AM to 5 PM at Bhaterchar Government Primary School in Belabo Upazila, Narsingdi. The camp was led by Dr. Tahera Nazreen, Founder, Senior Consultant, and Coordinator of the Pediatric Cardiology Department of Evercare Hospitals Bangladesh (Dhaka & Chattogram). Throughout the day, she provided free outdoor healthcare services to children suffering from heart diseases and conducted 2D and color Doppler echocardiography.

Also present at the event were Syeda Nasima Haider, former Deputy Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, Bangladesh; Dr. Syed Amirul Haque, Civil Surgeon of Narsingdi District; Dr. Khan Nuruddin Md. Jahangir, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer of Raipura, Narsingdi; Abu Tarek Md. Abul Hossain, former Upazila Chairman of Belabo, Narsingdi; along with other distinguished guests.

As part of this commitment, the free medical camp was organized to offer world-class diagnostic services, including free echocardiography, for pediatric patients. Additionally, the camp facilitated doctor appointments, pre-admission support, and referral arrangements for advanced treatment. The Pediatric Cardiology Department of Evercare Hospital Dhaka provides free medical devices, balloons, and other necessary treatment consultations for children with heart diseases.

Regarding the initiative, Dr. Tahera Nazreen, Clinical and Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist, stated, "The incidence of pediatric heart diseases is increasing in our country, primarily affecting underprivileged children. Factors such as poor living conditions, lack of quality maternal healthcare, unawareness about pediatric heart diseases, and financial constraints contribute to this problem. Evercare Hospital Dhaka is committed to offering free medical services to disadvantaged children. We aim to provide quality health check-ups, consultations, and treatment for all children, and we urge both public and private organizations to support us in this noble cause."
