Prof. (Major Gen.) Dr. Golam Mohiuddin Chowdhury

Maj. General Golam Mohiuddin Chowdhury is a renowned Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and pioneer surgeon of Oral Implantology in the country. He was appointed as a Consultant Dental Surgeon General of Directorate General of Medical Service on 31 July 2017.
He joined Apollo Hospitals Dhaka in 2010 as a Consultant Specialist in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department.
Maj. General Mohiuddin graduated (BDS) from Dhaka Dental College in 1982. He was commissioned in Bangladesh Army in the Army Dental Corps on 20 September 1984. He was trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry, Pakistan in 1993-94.
He was trained in Implant Surgery from Singapore in 1999. He also pursued training in TMJ Arthroscopy from Germany in 2014. He took an Advanced Implant Training Course from Malaysia in 2016. He also joined various Seminars and Workshops in Hongkong in 2006, Singapore and Malaysia in 2015 and 2016, Thailand in 2016 and 2017, and China and Australia in 2017.
He attended UN Mission, Sierra Leone in 2002. He completed FCPS in OMF Surgery from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2007. Over the years, he has served in various CMHs as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Maj. General Mohiuddin is also working as the President of the Dental Implant Association of Bangladesh and Vice President of the Bangladesh Oral Cancer Society.
