Dr. Biswajit Bhattacharjee

Biswajit Bhattacharjee graduated in Medicine (MBBS) from Mymensingh Medical College (MMCH) under Dhaka University in 1994. He completed M.Phil (Med. Science) in Radiotherapy under BSMMU in 2004.
He worked as a Clinical Fellow (Oncology) at Cancer Institute of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS), Kerala, India. He also completed his Clinical Observership Training in Oncology at Guy's and St. Thomas Hospital, London, UK and afterwards at Princess Margaret Hospital with additional posting at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital and Hospital for Sick Children under UHN, University of Toronto, Canada.
He started modern radiation treatment techniques like 3D-CRT, IMRT & IGRT as a pioneer in 2007. His expertise entails 2D, 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, Arc/VMAT Therapy, SRS, SRT, SBRT, Respiratory Motion Management (Respiratory Gating) during radiation treatment, HDR Brachytherapy, Electron Therapy and total body Irradiation (TBI) Chemotherapy, targeted therapies and Immuno-Therapy. He does MRI and PET-based RT planning for radiation treatment.
He has 18 years of experience in Radiation & Clinical Oncology.
He had been academically working as a Professor of Radiation Oncology (Radiotherapy) in North East Medical College & Hospital Sylhet. He has various publications in some renowned journals.
Biswajit Bhattacharjee is trained in Pain & Palliative care for terminally ill cancer patients.
