Anaesthesia Services at Evercare Hospital Chattogram
Department of Anaesthesia of Evercare Hospital offers a wide range of cutting-edge anaesthetic, perioperative and pain management services to patients of all ages for a broad spectrum of surgical, medical and diagnostic procedures.
Our aim is to provide superlative comprehensive anaesthesia care throughout the perioperative period using the latest cutting-edge anaesthesia technique, aided by state-of-the-art equipments, latest anaesthetic agents, along with the most modern monitoring devices and supervised by a team of top class highly qualified anesthesiologists of the country. Our dynamic, trained, skilled and experienced anaesthesiologists ensure that you receive an anaesthesia plan tailored to your needs, providing maximum patient safety and comfort.
Our vigilant care does not start or stop with the often-challenging anaesthesia management during the actual surgical or medical procedures; we also work with experts of other associated fields in order to bring about a total care consisting of preoperative evaluation, perioperative management and a very efficient postanaesthetic observation/management system. In fact, we can take some pride for being very successful in running all the components of the above mentiones care with utmost watchfulness.
Our Post Anaesthesia Care Unit is adequately staffed, equipped and can act as a hold area for transferring patients to any other critical care area (ICU/CCU/HDU), if needed. The department covers anaesthesia support for all surgical specialties, with the exception of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. In addition, the department offers Pre-Anaesthesia Check-up (PAC).
Conditions Treated
Pre-anesthesia check-up is a pre-condition for safe anaesthesia. Prior to administration of any type of anaesthesia, the patient has to be checked up by an anesthesiologist. In pre-anesthesia check-up the following are done:
- Patient history and physical examination
- Investigations in laboratory, imaging and others, as necessary
- Set questionnaire to be answered by patient
- Explaining to patient and then obtaining informed consent
IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT TESTS/PROCEDURES/SURGERIES, YOUR REPORTS & BILLING ENQUIRIES
- Tests/Investigations:
- To schedule a test/investigation, please call the relevant OPD front desks.
- Your lab investigation samples are to be deposited in the Sample Collection Room located in Level-3, which is open on working days (Saturday-Thursday) from 8.00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Fridays and holidays from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
- Your investigation reports can be collected from Report Delivery Room by showing the receipt of payment. The hospital shall not be responsible for reports not collected within 30 days after the tests were done. Report Delivery Room is also located in level-1, and is open on working days (Saturday-Thursday) from 8.00 am to 8:30 pm, and on Fridays and holidays from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
- You will not be able to collect your investigation reports without your receipt of payment. If you have lost your receipt, you may collect a duplicate copy from our Billing Executives (Front Desk, OPD- Level-2,3).
- You can request duplicate copy of your investigation reports from the Report Delivery Room, inclusive of BDT 100 additional charge.

- In-patient Reports
- A Discharge Summary is provided to a patient upon his/her discharge from the hospital. A discharge summary is a summary of the events during hospitalization of the patient. It outlines the patient’s chief complaint, the diagnostic findings, the therapy administered and the patient’s response to it, and recommendations on discharge.
