Dr. A.Q.M. Reza

Dr. A. Q. M. Reza is renowned in Bangladesh for his expertise in Balloon Valvuloplasty especially Mitral Stenosis (PTMC) and Peripheral Angioplasty. He has an outstanding performance record in Coronary Angioplasty including Primary PCI, Chronic Total Occlusion and Multi Vessel Complex Angioplasties for more than 20 years.
He is a pioneer in this hospital for structural heart disease treatment like ASD, VSD, PDA device closure and also lifesaving IVC filter implantation and tumour vessel embolization.
Dr. A. Q. M. Reza obtained MBBS degree from Sir Salimullah Medical College Dhaka and earned his MD in Cardiology from National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD), Dhaka. He received basic medical training from IPGM&R, Dhaka. He received vast training in Clinical & Interventional Cardiology at NICVD and personalized training at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore; Madras Medical Mission, Chennai, India; South Korea; and Japan. He received specialized training on Permanent Pacemaker, ICD and CRT implantation from Germany and Baroda, India.
He is a life member of Bangladesh Cardiac Society and Founder life member of Bangladesh Society of Interventional Cardiology; Bangladesh Society of Echocardiography; International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Bangladesh Chapter; and Bangladesh Society of Geriatric Cardiology. He is the active member of the editorial board of Cardiovascular Journal and Journal of Cardiovascular Interventions.
Dr. A. Q. M. Reza is a member Fellow of Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (USA) and Fellow Asia Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (Singapore).
He is the first Bangladeshi Physician who has been selected as 'Professor' by the Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation in recognition of his contribution to Research and Academics.
Before joining Evercare Hospital Dhaka, he was Associate Professor of Cardiology in NICVD, Dhaka.
